[wise eDYNASTY WORDS]:Ch. 8 - Why I Built a Faster, Wiser Way to Grow Online
WHY I BUILT A FASTER, WISER WAY TO GROW ONLINE
WISELY SHARE…
Why I became so determined to help others avoid costly confusion, unnecessary detours, and the harder path I had to navigate at the beginning
Over the course of this series, I’ve shared a great deal about why this work matters so much to me.
I’ve shared the personal turning points.
The deeper values.
The hopes I carried for my daughters.
The barriers I ran into while trying to build online.
And the reason I care so deeply about helping people move forward with more clarity, structure, and support.
This final chapter brings so much of that together.
Because one of the biggest reasons I built a wiser way forward is simple:
I did not want other people to have to learn everything the hard way.
The moment everything changed
There was a moment when my whole life changed.
After five nannies in one year, the last nanny left my daughters home alone at night.
And in that moment, my corporate career was over.
I became absolutely determined to work from home.
But I also knew there was a massive rift between where I was and where I wanted to be – all the digital infrastructure, all the technical pieces, and all the systems needed to build, market, sell, and manage online.
And even with my strong business background, that path was far more complex than I believed it should have been.
That mattered deeply.
Because I was not trying to build something casually. I was trying to create a different future – one that would allow me to care for my daughters, build meaningful work, and create something real from home.
So I began doing the hard part
I researched.
I learned from experts.
I tested.
I invested – significantly.
And I paid close attention to what actually works.
I also paid close attention to what makes the whole journey far more costly, confusing, and difficult than it needs to be.
Over time, I came to understand that building online successfully was not just about having a good idea or a beautiful website. It required far more wisdom, structure, support, and functionality than many people first realize.
And I had to learn that through real experience.
What I began to notice
As I got to know wise and successful entrepreneurs more closely, I began to notice patterns – especially among the women who had built businesses they truly loved while also caring for family and managing real life.
They had ideas.
They had messages to share.
They had meaningful work they wanted to do.
And they did not need to be held back by costly and confusing systems.
That stayed with me.
Because it was not only true for them.
It was true for me too.
And once I had lived through that complexity myself, I knew I did not want others to lose so much time, money, energy, and momentum trying to figure it all out the hard way.
What I wanted from the beginning
When I was starting out, here is what I wanted – and what I now know so many people need:
- Cutting-edge technology with the functionality to market, sell, and manage well
- The best strategies and techniques to build a wise and profitable business for the long term
- Encouraging momentum along the way
- Support when it is needed
- And a tribe of other wise business owners to grow with
I know this is what matters because I lived through what happens when those things are missing.
It is hard.
Not because people are not capable.
Not because they are not willing to work.
But because the path can become far more complicated than it should be when the right pieces are not in place.
And that is one reason I care so much about creating a wiser way forward.
Why this became so important to me
Together with technical and digital selling experts, I helped create what we would have wanted our own children to have – a wiser, clearer, more supported path to real success in work and life.
That has remained one of the central ideas at the heart of this work ever since:
not throwing people into confusion,
but helping them move forward more wisely.
This was never only about information.
It was about creating a path that felt more doable – more supported, more structured, more encouraging, and far less overwhelming than the beginning so often feels.
Because when the environment is more supportive and the path is more thoughtfully designed, people can move forward with greater confidence.
And that matters.
What this chapter is really about
At its heart, this final introductory chapter is about one simple but important truth:
there is no special prize for having to piece everything together the hard way.
If there is a wiser path – a clearer path – a more supported path – that is worth creating.
And that is what I set out to do.
So if you have ever wished there were a better way to begin online, I hope this chapter reminds you that you are not wrong to want that.
There is a wiser path forward.
