[wise eDYNASTY WORDS]: Ch. 9 - What Can You Sell Online? More Than You Might Imagine!
WHAT CAN YOU SELL ONLINE? MORE THAN YOU MIGHT IMAGINE!
WISELY SHARE…
From physical products + digital creations to valuable services, discover what you could offer online - and how to choose wisely, whether you're just beginning or growing an established business.
🦋 A World of Wonderful Possibilities
Have you ever looked at something you love doing, creating or sharing and wondered…
Could I actually build a business around this?
Or perhaps you already own a business and have found yourself thinking…
What else could I offer? What could I do differently? And what wonderful opportunities might I be overlooking?
Well, my wise friend, I have some exciting news for you!
The possibilities of building + selling online extend far beyond what many people first imagine.
And now that we’ve explored the story behind Wise eDynasty in our first eight chapters, I’d love to turn our attention to something particularly exciting:
What could YOU create, offer + sell online?
Because the answer may open up an entirely new way of thinking about your business – or the business you’ve been dreaming of building.
✨ So, What Can You Actually Sell Online?
You can sell physical products, digital products, services – or thoughtful combinations of all three through an online business.
Physical products might include handmade creations, clothing, specialty goods, artwork or carefully selected collections.
Digital products can include eBooks, templates, recorded classes, downloadable resources + other creations customers can access electronically.
And services can range from consulting, coaching + design to appointments, workshops + professional expertise delivered online, in person or through a combination of both.
In fact, you may already have knowledge, talents, products or services that could become the foundation of something wonderful.
Or, if you own an established business, you may discover opportunities to improve what you already offer, serve your customers in new ways + create additional sources of revenue.
But here’s where I encourage you to think a little further.
The wisest question isn’t simply what you can sell online. It’s what you can offer that people will genuinely value – and that makes good business sense for you.
Because a wonderful online business isn’t built on possibilities alone.
It’s built on thoughtfully chosen offers, real customer needs + the ability to deliver value beautifully and profitably.
And that’s where I’d love to begin our exploration together.
🛍️ Physical Products You Can Sell Online
Let’s begin with something wonderfully tangible!
Products people can hold, use, wear, enjoy, give as gifts – or perhaps discover they simply cannot live without. 😉
Think about the extraordinary variety of physical products people purchase every day.
Beautiful handmade jewelry. Thoughtfully designed clothing. Specialty foods. Home accessories. Artwork. Children’s products. Gardening supplies. Practical tools that make everyday life easier.
And here’s something I particularly love.
You don’t necessarily have to invent something entirely new to build a business around physical products.
Perhaps you enjoy creating things yourself.
Perhaps you have an eye for discovering beautiful, unusual or especially useful products that other people would love.
Or perhaps you already sell physical products and are considering how to expand your collection, reach new customers or improve the way your products are presented + sold online.
There are many ways to approach it.
You might create your own products, work with manufacturers, source products from suppliers or curate a distinctive collection around the needs + interests of a particular group of customers.
But here’s where a little Wise business thinking becomes especially important.
A product people love isn’t necessarily a product that will make a profitable business.
You’ll want to consider what it costs to create or purchase, package, store, market + deliver that product.
And then there’s the customer.
Why would someone choose your product?
What makes it desirable, useful or different from the alternatives?
And can you offer it at a price that makes good business sense for both your customer + your business?
These questions matter whether you’re choosing your very first product or evaluating the next addition to an established collection.
Because sometimes, the wisest opportunity isn’t the product with the most exciting possibilities.
It’s the one that offers genuine customer value + the potential for a healthy, sustainable business.
And remember, you don’t necessarily need an enormous product collection to begin.
One thoughtfully chosen product can be a wonderful place to start.
💻 Digital Products You Can Create + Sell Online
Now, here’s where things become particularly exciting!
Imagine creating something valuable that someone can purchase + receive without a package ever leaving your doorstep.
No shipping boxes.
No trips to the post office.
And no wondering whether your beautiful creation is currently traveling somewhere entirely unexpected! 😉
Welcome to the wonderful world of digital products.
Digital products are creations customers can download, access or use electronically.
They might include eBooks, workbooks, templates, printable resources, digital artwork, photography, recorded classes, educational materials or specialized tools.
And what’s particularly interesting is that digital products can allow you to share your knowledge, expertise + creativity in entirely different ways.
Imagine someone who has spent years developing a particular skill.
Perhaps they teach, advise, design, organize, create or help people solve a specific problem.
Could some of that expertise become a helpful digital resource?
A workbook that guides someone through a process?
A template that saves hours of work?
A recorded class that teaches a valuable skill?
Or a collection of resources that helps customers accomplish something they genuinely want to do?
For someone just beginning, a digital product might become their first business offer.
For an established business owner, it could complement existing products or services, provide additional value to customers + create another potential source of revenue.
And there’s another exciting possibility.
A thoughtfully created digital product can often be sold + delivered repeatedly without requiring you to recreate it for every individual customer.
That can create opportunities to serve more people without increasing your personal delivery time in the same way as many one-to-one services.
But – and you knew there would be a but, didn’t you? 😉 – digital doesn’t automatically mean effortless or profitable.
Creating something genuinely valuable takes thought, time + expertise.
You’ll still need to consider customer demand, the quality of the experience, pricing, marketing, support + whether your product needs to be updated over time.
And while digital delivery may remove physical shipping costs, it doesn’t remove the need for sound business economics.
The opportunity lies in creating something customers genuinely value, delivering it beautifully + building a business model that makes sense.
Because the real opportunity isn’t simply that a product is digital.
It’s that something you know, create or understand could become genuinely valuable to someone else – wherever they happen to be.
💛 Services You Can Sell Online - Virtually or In Person
Now, what if the most valuable thing you have to offer isn’t a physical product or a digital creation?
What if it’s something you already know how to do?
Perhaps you’re wonderful at teaching, advising, designing, organizing, creating, planning or helping people accomplish something important.
Well, my wise friend, that expertise may be the foundation of a service-based business.
And the possibilities are wonderfully varied.
Think about consulting, coaching, tutoring, design, photography, event planning, professional services, specialized instruction, creative work or personal appointments.
Some services can be delivered entirely online.
A consultant might work with clients through virtual meetings.
A tutor might teach students in different cities – or even different countries.
A designer might collaborate with customers they’ve never met in person.
Other services take place in the physical world, while the online business makes it easier for customers to discover what’s offered, explore options, book appointments + purchase services.
Imagine a photographer offering portrait sessions, a specialist providing in-person consultations or a workshop instructor welcoming customers to local events.
And of course, many businesses combine both approaches.
A service might begin with a virtual consultation, continue with an in-person appointment + include helpful digital resources afterward.
That’s one of the wonderful things about selling services online: the service itself doesn’t always have to happen online.
Your online business can help people discover, understand, choose + purchase what you offer – while you deliver that value in the way that makes the most sense.
But services introduce a particularly important business consideration.
Your time + capacity.
If your business depends on your personal involvement in every appointment, consultation or project, there’s a practical limit to how many customers you can serve.
And that’s not necessarily a problem!
A thoughtfully priced, well-managed service business can be a wonderful business.
But you’ll want to understand how much time each service requires, what it costs to deliver + how many customers you can realistically serve while maintaining the quality you promise.
You may also discover opportunities to develop service packages, introduce complementary resources or create more efficient ways of working.
And if you already own a service-based business, these questions can be especially valuable when you’re considering how to perfect your offers or grow.
Because here’s something I care deeply about.
The business you build should support the life you want to live – not quietly consume every hour of it.
And that brings us to an especially interesting possibility.
What happens when physical products, digital products + services begin working together?
Well, that’s where things can become wonderfully creative!
✨ Can You Sell Products + Services Together? Absolutely!
Now, here’s where things can become even more interesting!
Who says your business has to offer only physical products, only digital products or only services?
Why not explore the wonderful possibilities of combining them?
Imagine someone who loves gardening.
Perhaps they begin by selling carefully selected gardening tools + supplies.
Then they create a seasonal planting guide that helps customers get more enjoyment from their gardens.
Perhaps they offer a recorded class on growing beautiful herbs or vegetables.
And eventually, they introduce personalized garden-planning consultations for customers who would appreciate a little individual guidance.
One business.
Several different ways to serve people who share a common interest.
Or imagine someone who already provides a professional service.
Perhaps they have years of expertise helping customers solve a particular problem.
Could some of that knowledge become a helpful workbook, a downloadable template or a recorded class?
Could a thoughtfully designed service package make it easier for customers to understand what they’re purchasing?
Or could an additional product or service make their existing customer experience even more valuable?
And here’s another possibility.
A physical product could be paired with a digital guide that helps customers use it beautifully.
A recorded class could be complemented by a live workshop.
A consulting service could include useful templates or resources that help clients put what they’ve learned into practice.
Sometimes, the next wonderful business opportunity isn't an entirely new idea.
It's discovering another valuable way to serve the people you already know how to help.
But – and this is important – more offers don’t automatically mean a better business.
Every additional product or service brings its own considerations.
Will customers genuinely value it?
Does it complement what you’re already offering?
Can you deliver it beautifully + reliably?
Will it contribute profitably to your business?
And does it fit the way you want to work + live?
Because the goal isn’t to fill your online boutique with as many products + services as possible.
It’s to create a thoughtful collection of offers that makes sense for your customers, your business + the future you’re building.
And sometimes, the wisest next step isn’t adding something new at all.
It’s making something you already offer even better.
Now that we’ve explored some of these wonderful possibilities, let’s take a closer look at how they compare – and what you might want to consider before choosing your next Wise Step.
🦋 Your Wise Online Offer Comparison Guide
Well, now that we’ve explored all these wonderful possibilities, you may be wondering…
Where would I even begin?
Or, if you already own a business…
Which of these opportunities might make the most sense for me?
And those, my wise friend, are exactly the right questions to be asking!
Because while physical products, digital products + services can all become part of a successful online business, they each come with different opportunities, responsibilities + financial considerations.
Let’s take a closer look.

🦋 Keep Your Wise Guide Handy!
Would you love a quick reminder of these wonderful possibilities?
I’ve created a little visual version of our Wise Online Offer Comparison Guide for you to save, share + revisit whenever you’re exploring your next business idea.
Now, this isn’t a competition to discover which type of offer is best.
Because there isn’t one answer that will be right for everyone.
A physical product might be a wonderful choice for someone who loves creating or curating tangible goods.
A digital product might be particularly interesting for someone who wants to share knowledge or creativity in a form customers can access repeatedly.
A service might be an excellent opportunity for someone whose expertise + personal attention create exceptional value.
And a combination of offers might make wonderful sense for a business with customers who would benefit from several complementary solutions.
But here’s something I’d especially encourage you to remember.
The easiest offer to create isn’t necessarily the easiest to sell.
And the offer with the highest selling price isn’t necessarily the most profitable.
The wisest choice depends on who your customers are, what they genuinely value, what it costs to serve them + how the opportunity fits into your business as a whole.
That’s why I always encourage looking beyond the excitement of the idea itself.
Because when you understand both the possibilities and the practical considerations, you’re in a much better position to make decisions that support the business – and the life – you want to build.
Angela's Wise Perspective
Over the years, I’ve evaluated businesses of all kinds, and one of the most important lessons I’d love to share with you is this:
The possibilities may be wonderfully varied, but the opportunities worth exploring are those that create meaningful customer value + make sense for the business and future you want to build.
And that distinction matters more than many people realize.
When I look at a business opportunity, I don’t evaluate the product or service in isolation. I look at how the different parts of the business work together.
Who are the customers? What do they genuinely need or value? Why would they choose this particular offer? What will it cost to create, market, sell + deliver? And what will remain after those costs are paid?
I also look at something that’s often overlooked:
what happens to the business when it becomes successful?
Will increasing sales create healthy profits – or simply more work, expenses + complications?
Can the business continue delivering the quality customers expect as it grows?
And will the way it’s designed support the life its owner actually wants to live?
These are important questions whether you’re considering your very first product or evaluating the next opportunity for an established business.
Because a new offer shouldn’t be judged only by how exciting it sounds or how much revenue it might generate.
It deserves to be considered for the value it creates for customers, the contribution it can make to the business + the resources it requires.
And here’s another thought I’d love you to take with you:
You don’t always need a new product, a new service or even a new business to create a better opportunity.
Sometimes, improving the way an existing offer is presented, priced, delivered or experienced can be far more valuable than adding something new.
The wonderful thing about building a business wisely is that you get to make those decisions thoughtfully, with your eyes open to both the possibilities + the practical realities.
And that, my wise friend, is how exciting ideas begin becoming sound business decisions.
💫👟 Your Next Wise Step: Explore One Wonderful Opportunity
Now, I’d love to invite you to do something simple.
Think of one product, digital creation or service you would love to offer – or one opportunity you could explore within a business you already own.
And ask yourself three wise questions:
- 1. Who would genuinely value this? Think about the people you’d love to serve + the needs you could help them meet.
- 2. Could this make good business sense? Consider what it might cost to create, market, sell + deliver – and what could make it worthwhile.
- 3. Does this opportunity fit the future I want to build? Think about the work you’d enjoy, the responsibilities involved + the life you’d love your business to support.
You don’t need to have all the answers today.
For now, simply write down your idea + your first thoughts.
Because sometimes, a wonderful future begins with one thoughtful question:
What could I create, offer or improve that would make a meaningful difference for someone else?
