[wise eDYNASTY WORDS]: Ch. 7 - Sometimes You Need a Wise Push Forward

SOMETIMES YOU NEED A WISE PUSH FORWARD

WISELY SHARE…

A story about courage, momentum, and why moving forward in business can sometimes begin with one brave nudge

By now in this series, I’ve shared a great deal about why building online can feel so overwhelming – and why I became so committed to creating a wiser way forward.

But there is another part of this journey that matters too:

Sometimes, what people need most is not more waiting.

Not more hesitation.

Not more time standing at the edge.

Sometimes they need a wise push forward.

A story I still smile about

Before moving to Colorado, we lived for ten years in Holland, where my husband is from. And during those years, our family would return each summer to the same holiday house in the sunny south of France. It became a place filled with familiar rhythms, familiar families, and one especially sweet pattern that repeated itself year after year.

When my daughters were little, they would reconnect each summer with children they had met there before. These were friendships that picked up again after many months apart.

But the beginning was always funny.

The children would see each other, glance away, act awkward, and pretend not to know what to do with all that remembered affection and excitement. I remember feeling embarrassed for them and amused by the strange little dance of it all. The other parents were puzzled too.

And then, without fail, one brave child would finally break the tension.

He would run over, full of courage and energy, and push one of my daughters right into the swimming pool.

Shock would instantly turn to laughter.

Laughter would turn to play.

And suddenly, they were inseparable again.

It happened year after year.

And strangely enough, it taught me something.

Why this story stayed with me

Sometimes, people do not need endless preparation.

They do not need to stay in the awkward pause between wanting something and doing something.

Sometimes they simply need a safe, clear, encouraging push into motion.

Not a reckless shove.

Not pressure for pressure’s sake.

But a wise kind of momentum.

That is part of what I came to understand about building online too.

Because so many people can see what is possible. They have ideas. They have hopes. They have the desire to move forward. But they stay stuck at the edge because the whole thing feels too technical, too intimidating, too uncertain, or too large to enter all at once.

And in that kind of moment, movement matters.

Why momentum matters in business

There are some kinds of learning that happen best by moving.

Online business can be one of them.

Not because wisdom means rushing.

And not because thoughtfulness does not matter.

But because there is a difference between wise movement and endless delay.

When the path is clear enough, supported enough, and safe enough, moving forward can be the very thing that helps confidence grow. Action begins to replace fear. Experience starts to replace uncertainty. And the person who once felt frozen begins to realize they actually can do this.

That is a powerful turning point.

What I mean by a wise push forward

When I say a wise push forward, I do not mean throwing people into chaos.

I mean helping them bypass unnecessary obstacles. I mean helping them move past the technical overwhelm that keeps so many people stalled. I mean making the next steps clearer, more practical, more supported, and easier to act on.

Because when people can begin moving with support, they often learn faster than they imagined they could. They stop staring at the whole canyon. They start taking actual steps. And the journey begins to feel more possible.

That is one of the reasons I care so much about helping people move forward more quickly and more wisely.

Not so they feel pressured.

But so they can gain momentum.

This is really about courage

At its heart, this chapter is about courage.

Not the loud, dramatic kind.

The quieter kind.

The kind that lets a person begin.

The kind that helps them step in.

The kind that allows movement before they feel fully certain.

Because very often, courage grows through motion.

And sometimes the beginning becomes easier once someone is no longer standing still.

Why I’m sharing this

I’m sharing this because if you have ever felt stuck between wanting to move forward and feeling unsure how to begin, you are not alone.

And sometimes, what you need is not more pressure.

You simply need a wiser path.

A clearer next step.

And enough support to stop standing at the edge.

That is where momentum begins.

Why I hope this helps

If you have been hesitating, overthinking, or waiting for everything to feel perfectly clear before you begin, I hope this chapter encourages you.

Sometimes the most important thing is not standing still until fear disappears.

Sometimes it is stepping forward wisely – and letting movement help carry you.
