What began with a mother's dream became a mission to make sophisticated online business-building practical, accessible + wonderfully achievable.
Throughout this journey, one thought kept returning to me.
Surely, there had to be a wiser way.
A wiser way to build a business online.
A wiser way to bring together the sophisticated capabilities that successful businesses depend upon.
And a wiser way for people to begin putting their own ideas, talents + ambitions to work without having to navigate all the complicated detours I’d encountered along the way.
By now, I’d spent an extraordinary amount of time researching, exploring, experimenting + investing in different approaches.
And the more I learned about what was available, the clearer my vision became.
I didn’t simply want to find a better solution for myself.
I wanted to help make a better way possible for others, too.
🦋 It Had Become About So Much More Than My Own Business
When I first began this journey, my ambitions were deeply personal.
I wanted to build a meaningful, profitable business of my own.
I wanted to do work I loved while being present for the people I loved.
And I wanted my daughters to grow up knowing that they could dream wonderfully big, choose futures that were meaningful to them + have the opportunity to make those dreams their own.
Those hopes never left me.
But something had changed along the way.
The more I examined the opportunities of building online, the more I could see how much they might mean to other people, too.
People with valuable knowledge to share.
People with wonderful products to create.
People with services that could make a real difference in someone’s life.
People who wanted to build something meaningful of their own, perhaps while raising a family, traveling, pursuing other passions or simply enjoying greater freedom in how they lived and worked.
I knew that building a successful business would always require good decisions, thoughtful work + a willingness to learn.
But I also knew that the process of getting the business itself up and running didn’t have to be unnecessarily complicated.
And that distinction mattered enormously to me.
🏛️ I Knew What I Wanted to Bring Together
Throughout my corporate career, I’d worked with extraordinarily sophisticated businesses.
I’d seen firsthand how much thought, expertise, technology + infrastructure went into making successful enterprises function.
And I understood the importance of bringing their different capabilities together so that the business could operate as a whole.
Now I wanted to make that kind of business thinking practical for people building online independently.
Not by asking every individual to assemble the equivalent of a corporate operation!
Good heavens. Who would want to spend their days doing that when they had a wonderful business to build? 😉
But by bringing together the essential capabilities, thoughtful strategies + practical guidance in a way that would allow people to focus on the businesses they actually wanted to create.
I wanted them to be able to sell, market + manage their businesses online without having to spend an extraordinary amount of time finding, connecting + maintaining separate technologies.
I wanted them to have access to the business knowledge and guidance that could help them make wise decisions from the beginning.
And I wanted the experience of getting started to be encouraging, practical + genuinely exciting.
Not because business-building should be treated casually.
Quite the opposite.
Because something as important as building your future deserves to begin with the right foundations.
✨ So We Set About Creating a Wiser Way
And this is where the years of investigating, evaluating + imagining began to take a very different shape.
Together with technical + digital selling experts, I set about creating the kind of online business environment and guided journey I had wished existed when I began building my own business online.
One that brought sophisticated business capabilities together with the education, strategies, tools, resources + support needed to put them to work.
One that would make it possible to begin building with strong foundations, then continue perfecting, mastering + growing over time.
And one that would help people make meaningful progress without requiring them to spend years figuring out every piece of the puzzle for themselves.
It was an enormous undertaking.
But I knew exactly why it mattered.
I wasn’t interested in creating just another way to put webpages online.
I wanted to make it possible for people to build businesses.
Real businesses.
Businesses that could offer wonderful products, valuable services + meaningful experiences.
Businesses that could market, sell, serve customers + be managed with confidence.
Businesses with the foundations and capabilities to develop as their owners’ ambitions grew.
And businesses that could support the lives those owners wanted to live.
I didn't want people to have to become experts in building business infrastructure before they could begin building the businesses of their dreams.
I wanted that sophistication to be there to help them succeed.
That was the vision behind what became Wise eDynasty.
And it brought together something I cared about very deeply:
The opportunity to Work While Living.
💛 The Dream That Started It All Never Changed
Sometimes I think back to those early days, when I was trying to imagine what a different future could look like for my family.
I remember how much I wanted to be present for my daughters.
How much I wanted to build something meaningful of my own.
And how important it became to me that they, too, should have the freedom to pursue work they loved while living lives they loved.
Today, when I think about everything that grew from those hopes, I feel an enormous sense of gratitude.
Because what began as my desire to create a different future for my own family became an opportunity to help others create futures of their own.
And perhaps that’s one of the most wonderful things about a dream. Sometimes, as you begin working toward it, you discover that what you’re creating could mean something to far more people than you ever imagined.
What began as a dream for my own family became a mission to help others build meaningful businesses around the lives they love living.
And that is a mission I continue to care about enormously.
🦋 And Now, My Wise Friend, What About Your Dreams?
As we reach the end of this first part of my story, I’d love to bring us back to something we’ve explored throughout these chapters.
Your future.
Not simply the business you might build.
But the life you would love that business to help make possible.
Perhaps you have a product you’ve dreamed of creating, a service you’d love to offer or knowledge you would find enormous joy in sharing.
Perhaps you already have a business and can imagine what it might become with the right foundations + opportunities to grow.
Or perhaps you’re still discovering what you’d most love to do.
