[wise eDYNASTY WORDS]: Ch. 3 - What I Wanted My Daughters to Have in Work and in Life

Angela van Hoeven sharing what she wanted her daughters to have in work and in life

WHAT I WANTED MY DAUGHTERS TO HAVE IN WORK AND IN LIFE

WISELY SHARE…

Why I became so determined to make online business easier, wiser, and more rewarding to build

In the last chapter, I shared more about why I left corporate life and why the path into online business became so personal to me.

This chapter goes one step deeper.

Because once I knew I wanted a different future, the next question became:

What kind of path did I actually want to help create?

For my daughters.

And for others too.

I wanted more than income

Of course, I wanted my daughters to be able to earn well.

I wanted them to have real opportunities, real choices, and the ability to support themselves through meaningful work.

But I wanted more than that.

I wanted them to be able to build lives around their gifts, their talents, and the kinds of work that genuinely fit who they are. I wanted them to be able to choose a path based on what they love – and to have a real chance of making that path profitable too.

That mattered deeply to me.

Because too often, work can feel disconnected from purpose. And too often, building something online can feel far more difficult than it should.

I wanted it to feel possible

As I was building a successful online business for myself, I was also thinking constantly about the future.

What would actually give my daughters the best chance to succeed?

What would help them build any kind of business or work life they chose – whether they wanted to sell products, offer services, share ideas, or build something entirely their own?

I knew they would need more than inspiration.

They would need a path that felt possible.

A path that was easier to begin, easier to understand, and easier to move through with momentum. A path where they could start seeing encouraging results early – not because quick wins are everything, but because early progress helps people keep going.

That became one of my strongest convictions:

It should not feel this hard to get something meaningful off the ground.

I wanted it to be fast - but not flimsy

I also knew I did not want to build a path around empty speed.

I wanted to help create something that could move quickly, yes – but wisely.

Not rushed.

Not random.

Not built on trends that come and go.

I wanted the process to help people focus on the strategies and techniques that are not only fast to apply, but also proven to be more effective over time. The kind of actions that lead to stronger foundations, clearer marketing, and long-term growth – not just activity for activity’s sake.

That meant helping people learn what really matters.

What helps them get their message out.

What helps that message connect.

What helps that connection lead somewhere meaningful.

I wanted people to learn as they earn

Another thing mattered to me very much:

I wanted the learning to stick.

I did not want this to be the kind of experience where people absorb a flood of information, feel overwhelmed, and then forget the most important parts.

I wanted the process of building online to help people learn in ways that are practical and memorable – so they are not just consuming ideas, but actually using them. So they can grow in confidence as they grow in skill. So they can build something real while they are learning how it works.

That felt wiser to me.

And far more life-giving.

I wanted work to feel meaningful too

Most importantly, I wanted my daughters to be able to build work that brought meaning and fulfillment.

Not just money.

Not just output.

Not just busyness.

But work that allowed them to use who they are in ways that matter.

Work that could support a real life.

Work that could grow.

Work that could become part of a meaningful future.

That vision shaped so much of what I began building.

Because if online business is going to be worth pursuing, it should not only create opportunity – it should also support purpose.

What this chapter is really about

This chapter is not only about what I wanted for my daughters.

It is also about what I came to want for others who are trying to build something meaningful online.

A wiser beginning.
A clearer path.

A more practical way forward.

And a business journey that can be both rewarding now and sustainable over time.

That is part of the heart behind the Wise eDynasty journey.
